Sobre Nosotros
RAMA is a migrant justice collective that advocates for Latin American and Caribbean migrant farm workers, and all other migrant workers with precarious status in the unceded Syilx and Secwepemc territories of the Okanagan Valley. We work to build inclusive and more socially just communities by engaging in political advocacy, accompaniment, direct support work, public awareness campaigns, and the documentation of workers’ conditions and experiences. We are a volunteer-run, not-for-profit group.
Nosotros reconocemos que nuestro trabajo ocurre en los territorios de las comunidades Indígena Syilx y Secwepemc del Valle Okanagan (territorios nunca cedidos a la corona Británica).
Nos esforzamos para conectarnos con éstas comunidades en solidaridad con otros movimientos Indígenas. También reconocemos que el racismo sistemático, el colonialismo, y el capitalismo forman parte de los orígenes de nuestra lucha colectiva. Nosotros sentimos que debemos formar fuertes alianzas para que juntos podamos superar estas fuerzas opresivas..
